Hello! I’m Gillio Alessandro — architect, lawyer, and master in sustainable territory and resource management. I was born in Ciudad Quesada, northern Costa Rica.
Together with my dear colleague, Oriana Berrios, I co-founded this social architecture studio in the heart of San José, circa August 2021. Since then, our practice has revolved around the functional rigor of modernism, the geometric purity of São Paulo’s brutalism, and the living heritage of our tropical vernacular.
Our architecture is humble — summoned from Spirit, Form, and Nature — and manifested through a deep dialogue with our clients and the essence of their dwelling place. We build by listening to the flow of the water, the rumor of the dust, and the zizzle of light on the forest leaves.
One day, we joked that we were no longer architects, but geomancers, like the Awá of the ancient Bribri. And thus, Geomántica was born.
Following this wild and sacred path, my beloved wife Paola, our dogs (Iris and Mu), and I were drawn by God to the Pavón Bay. Some days with the strength of the mighty waves, others with the soft caress of the rainy season's breeze, we heard His call to adventure — and now we are blessed to call Langostino Beach our home.
